SAMSUNG'S 128 GB Chip Production

Samsung Electronic starting mass production of small-sized memory chips but has a capacity of 128 GB, which could possibly replace hard disk hard drive laptop that are relatively large.

Chip NAND 3bit multi-level-cell (MLC) processed with 10 nanometer (nm)-class, highly sophisticated solutions for high-density memory as storage devices and embedded NAND solid state drives (SSD), Samsung said in a statement on its official blog, Thursday.

With the process of 10nm-class, Samsung claims it has the highest density in the industry as well as the performance levels of up to 400 megabits per second (mbps) speed data transfer based on DDR interface 2.0.

In addition to mass produce memory chips, Samsung will also expand the supply of 128 GB memory card, which can store 16 HD video file size is 8 GB.

South Korea's companies will also increase production volume capacity 500 GB SSD to expand adoption of SSD in computer systems, as well as leading the transition from the use of the hard disk drive (HDD) to a SSD in notebook market.

Samsung since November last year started production of 64 GB MLC NAND flash memory, then make a higher-capacity 128 GB SSD series 840 and a capacity of 250 GB.
