AMD Run Adobe Premiere on Windows

Since last year's Mac computer users can benefit from accelerated OpenCL application processing video in Premiere Pro from Adobe.

Now, AMD announced a similar feature already available in Premiere Pro older versions of Windows. OpenCL support in the operating system also includes all the processor series APU from AMD, the Radeon series graphics cards also and FirePro.

Accelerated OpenCL GPU allows embedded in the main processor or graphics card takes over the processing of a number of visual effects from the CPU. The intended effects include "ProcAmp", "Sharpen", "Color Balance", "RGB RGB Color Corrector", and "Lumetri".

With this acceleration, the effects processing can be done much more quickly. On the AMD processor A10-6800K, for example, AMD claims performance improvements of up to 4.3 times that with the help of OpenCL while using the filer corector color three-way.

"The video editor no longer have to wait long when doing the editing process, either when rendering and add effects or mix objects. Now everything can be done with high quality in realtime, "said senior director Software Alliances AMD Neal Robison in the description of the press received the Kompas Tekno.

For users who use professional series graphics card AMD FirePro, an increase in speed with OpenCL can reach 6 times than if only using the CPU. AMD also claims its flagship OpenCL acceleration firmer than a similar technology called CUDA from Nvidia.

AMD is not exact when the user specifies the Premiere Pro older versions of Windows can enjoy accelerated OpenCL. But the manufacturers call the "future versions" likely refers to the Premiere Pro CS7.
