AIRPORT BATAM: BP allocated 12 acres LAND FOR LION AIR HANGAR MAINTENANCE

Agency Business (BP) Batam, Lion Air to process requests an additional 12 acres at the Hang Nadim airport.

The land will be used for the construction of the line maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) in Batam.

Kasubdit public relations and publication of BP Batam Eka Ilham said earlier the wealthy person, Lion Air has acquired four acres of land for the line of MRO but later increased to 12 hectares.

"First Lion Air simply ask four acres of land to us. The work to date is being cut and fill. Later, Lion Air have added another 12 acres, so later widely their MRO 16 acres, "said he, Friday (18/1/2013).

BP Batam, more Inspiration, still processing the submission of additional land. It is still waiting for the Lion Air complement the document administration for land management.

But the deal confirms Ilham had already reached the intersection so that the plan can certainly be realized in the near future.

While the Groundbreaking line of MRO's Lion Air is planned to be conducted by the Minister of transportation.

"The agreement between the parties, BP Batam and Lion are his plans in the near future could've used. The supporting activities for later planes, such as parking, test drive and so on, "he said.

BP Batam has allocated 150 hectares of land area in 2013 for the construction of a line of MRO at the Hang Nadim international airport.

With the influx of Lion Air, ensured that new land allocation will only be used on the airline's needs.

According to Ilham, the construction line of MRO is evaluated can open up new jobs by absorbing the labor given this facility requires a workforce in great numbers.

In addition to the Lion Air, BP Batam also hinted there will be other investors who have made an approach for constructing the MRO Hang Nadim. But the inspiration was reluctant to comment much on it.

"There is already carrying out an approach to 100 hectares of land area, but later I explain if there is already an agreement," he said.
